Everest Base Camp Trekking Program Day 01 Welcome to Kathmandu Upon arrival in Kathmandu meet our representative at the airport and transfer to hotel. Short Briefing of your Nepal Trek & Tour. Check in to the Hotel. Rest for free Afternoon. O/n at Hotel.
Day 02 Kathmandu After breakfast, we go for sightseeing tour to Swoyambhunath Stupa where you can see a lot of monkeys & beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley. This old stupa is also known as Monkey Temple. Sightseeing tour continues by visiting Boudhanath Stupa, second biggest Stupa in the world & Pashupatinath Temple, famous Hindus Temple. In the afternoon, we begin our preparation for trekking in Everest Base Camp. O/n at Hotel.
Day 03 Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding(2656m) We fly from Kathmandu via domestic airport to Lukla . Our trek start from Lukla where the trail goes down to Phakding through the villages. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 04 Phakding - Namche Bazzar (3440m) Beginning with a slight climb to Jorsale, we pass a waterfall and along this part of the trail villages, we intersperse with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magnolia trees and giant firs. Then we walk to Namche crossing a few bridges and then we climb up a steep descent for several hundred meters and from another steep, we climb through the forest. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 05 Namche Bazzar( Acclimatization Day 3440m) Acclimatization is most important activity before progressing to a higher elevation. We can spend a day taking a day hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relaxing and explore Namche Bazaar, a Sherpa community. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 06 Namche Bazzar - Tengboche (3867m) From Namche, a steep 1 hour climb to Syangboche (3720m) provides excellent views of Everest and AmaDablam. From there, we descend to Punki Thanka via Khumjung, then the trail becomes steep at first and makes a gradual ascent through forests and around many stones as it follows the side of the hill up to the saddle on which Tengboche monastery sists at 3870m. This place is a clearly surrounded by dwarf fires and rhododendrons and the best views can be seen from here. Kwangde (6187m), Twachhe (6542m), Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7855m), Lotse (8618m), Ama Dablam (68576m) and Thamaserku (6608m) prode an inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the largest monastery at tengboche in khumbu region. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 07 Tengboche - Dinboche (4300m) It is a short step and a muddy descend to Devuche through a forest of birches, conifers and rhododendrons. Then cross the bridge and descend to Pangboche through the forest and magnificently carved mani stones to Pangboche at 3860 meters. Then the rote enters alpine meadows above the tree line to Dingboche at 4240m.
Day 08 Dinboche (4300m) Rest day for Acclimatization. There is possibility of hiking to Chukung Valley for 3-4hrs.O/n Trekkers Lodge.
Day 09 Dinboche - Lobuche (4930m) From Dinboche, the trail ascends to a gently sloping valley and climbs steeply in to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glaciers. We cross the bridge and climb higher on the Moranie to a row of stone monuments in memory of six Sherpas(those who died in an avalanche at Loubche at 4930m). O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 10 Lobuche - Gorakshep - Kalapattar - Lobuche(4930m) The trail from Lobuche follows the muide, a geographer's name for the through at the edge of the glaciers lateral moraine. A tributary glacier has piled another moraine across the trail which has to be crossed, giving a good view of Pumori. This section of the trek provides good views of the the Mount Everest and Pumori from GorkShep and Kala pattar. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 11 Lobuche - Tengboche (3867m) Return trek to Tengboche. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 12 Tenboche - Monjo (2950m) Return trek to Monjo. O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 13 Monjo - Lukla (2800m) Trek back to Lukla. (5hrs Trek). O/n Trekkers Lodge
Day 14 Lukla - Kathmandu Fly to kathmandu. Our Trekking Ends. Free Afternoon by ourself. O/n Hotel.
Day 15 Kathmandu This day as an extra day if incase flight from Lukla to Kathmandu cancel by the weather, We get free day to shop or hang around the city or can customize your city tour. O/n Hotel.
Day 16 Departure Transfer to Airport for our final Departure.
Trekking Precautions: The following precautions are helpful to minimize the risk of accidents which might occur while trekking in remote areas:
1. Do not trek alone. If possible, join other trekkers on the trail. 2. Do not pick up a porter or a guide off the street. They may not be reliable. 3. Try to avoid walking after nightfall in remote areas. 4. Keep your passport always with you, for it may be required any time and anywhere. 5. Register at all police and immigration check posts along the trail. If possible, register your trekking destinations and schedule at your embassy. 6. Report your problems to the nearest police of immigrations posts. When you return to Kathmandu, report also to your trekking agency as well as to the police and the Ministry of Tourism. 7. For safe trekking, join any of the reputed trekking agencies in town.
Important Note Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary but as this is adventure travel in a remote mountain region, we cannot guarantee it! Weather conditions, availability of porters and the health of Trekkers can all contribute to changes in itinerary. The guides and their Sherpa assistants will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if necessary.
Food & Accommodation Lodge Trek we provide Trekkers lodge as accommodation which is normally simple, neat & clean. We provide meals as simple Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Trekkers Restaurant. While in Camping Trek, You are accommodated in tents whilst on trek. We usually camp near village. We have our own cook team who will do all the cooking on trek. This also ensures that we have good control over hygiene.
Experience Required Everest Base Camp Trek is suitable for keen walkers who are able to walk for 6 - 8 hours in a day, with a light rucksack. Some of the days are quite long and the walking feels more strenuous at altitude. Generally, the trail is a good track, but occasionally it will be uneven and rocky. There may also be some snow cover on the trail sometime.
